The Lakes DHB will be opening a COVID-19 vaccination hub in Taupō at the end of May. The Rotorua hub is already operating in Central Mall.
The Taupō hub will be located at Unit 6, 29 Totara Street, Taupō. This is opposite the Taupo Hospice Shop at the Totara Point Shopping Centre.
Appointment bookings for Kaumatua / Group 3 people at Rotorua & Taupō hubs are now open
The Lakes DHB Call Centre in Rotorua is now booking vaccination appointments for people in Group 3 at either their Rotorua or Taupō vaccination hubs:
People in Group 3 include:
- Kaumātua / people aged 65 years+
- People aged 16 years+ with a relevant health condition
- Pregnant people
- Disabled people

The call centre is open between 7-30am to 5-00pm, Monday – Friday. Due to heavy demand, it may be difficult at times to get through or to leave a message.
Tūrangi vaccination hub details coming soon
Details for the Tūrangi community are expected to be advised in due course once arrangements have been confirmed. In the meantime, Tūrangi whānau are able to book an appointment at the Taupō or Rotorua hubs if they wish to travel there.
