Reminder about COVID safety following Northland case

A reminder about keeping safe following news of a person in Northland who tested positive in the community.
– Use the COVID19 tracer app and scan when out & about
– Stay home if you’re sick
– Wash your hands frequently
– Cough or sneeze into your elbow
The Lakes District Health Board’s Taupo community testing centre (at 79 Miro Street) has increased their opening hours.
They are opening from 12.30pm today and will be open seven days a week from 9am to 3pm for two (2) weeks.
If you have one or more of the following symptoms, stay home and call your GP or COVID Healthline 0800 358 5453
• a new or worsening cough
• fever (at least 38˚C)
• shortness of breath
• a sore throat
• sneezing and runny nose
• temporary loss of smell
